It's something unpredictable. . .

This is my first el-jay post in over a week, and this is the first time I have felt up to updating, so cheers to that. This is going to be a breakdown of my week. Yay.

Sunday: Work 12-5, mom, kelsey and hannah pick me up from work and we head to the Backstreet Boys concert. Yes, you read that right. And during the concert I apologized to my mother for making her go to the *NSYNC concert and understood why she brought her discman to listen to Bruce Springsteen. It all just seemed so fake and planned and I couldn't stand it. EW. But it was fun and very amusing. And yes, I still have a crush on AJ.

Monday: Wake up at 5am, head to Overlook at 5:30 and meet my really nice nurse Roxanne. We bonded over Long Island and my mother said that she looked very familiar. I got warm blankies!!! And then she stuck the IV in my hand and I met my anesthesiologist. He was really funny, but I don't really remember much before or after he gave me anesthesia. All I remember is my mom leaving and being wheeled into the OR, climbing onto the operating table and meeting my really awesome nurse and seeing my amazing ENT, Coop. I love him by the way. Then I was not awake for the operation which was good and I woke up about an hour and a half after the operation was finished. Then I remember being really uncomfortable and just wanting to go home. But they couldn't get my temperature back up, so they had to keep putting warm blankies on me, and my mom got jealous because that was all she talked about before surgery and she was like "sure, rub it in" because I got so many. It was funny. Then finally we left at noon and drove home in stally because Jolly Green was in the shop. It wasn't the most comfortable ride, but Stally is a good car and I love him. Then Grammy walked in literally five minutes after we got home and she talked to me about maybe pillows and how I felt. She gave me a pillow, and that was a good time. She also brought me stewed strawberries and peanut butter cookies. Then I went upstairs and slept forever. My throat hurt a lot because of the tube they stuck down it, but it subsided on Tuesday. Barbara and Raimi came to visit and Mal made me cookies. It was so cute. I love my friends and family. They win.

Tuesday: Wake up feeling groggy and very uncomfortable thus another day of lying in bed. I at least was more competent and could walk up and down stairs, so I stayed in my parents room for a good deal of the day because they have air conditioning and a tv. We also went to see Coop for a post-op check up. Everything went fine, so I'm told. I don't really remember. Then I stayed downstairs because it wasn't really hot. Then Nemo came to visit me and brought me a chocolate peanut butter froyo milkshake from Applegate. And we, he reluctantly, watched the Mets beat the Brewers. Yay. Then I went to sleep.

Wednesday: Woke up around 8:30, Todd came and picked me, Kelsey and Hannah up and we headed off to the train station and went to the city. Kelsey and Hannah wanted to see Rent, Todd and I wanted to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. We explained to Kelsey and Hannah how the lottery worked and then we went to go enter our own lottery. There were like 20 people there and an awesome British guy, and I love him. Todd won the lottery, because he always wins the lottery. But I did too! But it was the single ticket so I told him that I didn't need it, and people were actually giving away their own lottery tickets because, well I don't know why, but it was so much easier than Wicked and hooray. Kelsey and Hannah did not win lottery tickets but they did see someone get hit by a car, which was not very good. We got them mezz tickets though which are, in some cases, better than orch. We met Lisa for lunch and went to Famiglia. Then we headed off to the theaters. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was so awesome and I love Norby. He was so amazing and completely deserved the Tony. Hooray! John Lithgow was, naturally, hilarious and so was Joanna Gleason and Sherie Renee Scott. Her voice is phenomenal. I forgot she was Amneris in Aida. I must have been annoying though because I couldn't laugh fully because it hurt my nose, so I do this scary breathy chuckle and I was laughing a lot. It was funny though. Then we saw Norby and John, and they were really nice. *tear* Norby. I love you. Then we went to get Kelsey and Hannah and they got pictures with everyone in the cast while they were waiting for us. Then we went home, and I layed around because I was about to pass out at the end of the day. For serious.

Thursday: Lay around for a while then finally shower at 3pm and Raimi and her mom picked me up around 4:15 and we headed off to the train station to catch the 4:48. We met Lisa in Penn and took the A from Penn to Hoyt(aka Brooklyn) and met Thomas at the apartment. Then got the F to Prospect park. Ben Lee was really awesome, and I didn't know that he was opening for Rufus and Ben, but he was so cute and Australian. Hooray. Rufus was phenomenal, but his microphone needed to be turned up. And Ben was amazing, except he had larengitis, so I felt bad for him. But he played for an hour and a half which was pretty awesome, and he filmed a video, which was cool. AND he played "My Philosophy" and I LOVE THAT SONG. And he came out and did "Underground" as an encore, which was also very awesome. The whole concert was fun, but the set up was very weird and people were talking a lot, which was kind of obnoxious, but what can you do? Then Thomas and I left raimi and lisa on the F and went to the apartment. I saw Uncle Richie and they gave me a present for Greg and the original script of Spamalot, which is awesome, and a random Gucci wallet that they don't want. And no one in my family wants it either. So if you want it, tell me. I will give it to you. Then I fell asleep on the really comfortable pull out couch and under the amazing comforter. I LOVE THAT COMFORTER.

Friday: Wake up to see Uncle Richie and Thomas off to work. Then I sit around eating breakfast and watching Saved By The Bell: The College Years. It made me laugh because it's so corny. Then I watched Dawson's, on which, Katie Holmes is progressively getting more annoying and I cannot stand her character. She makes me want to scream. But that's probably enhanced by my love of Joshua Jackson. Hooray. Then I got bored and walked around their neighborhood which is cute and went to a deli and bought some lunch. Then I showered, ate lunch, cleaned and took the A back uptown to Midtown and shopped for a while. I got two pairs of earrings. And I love them. Then I met mom, barbara, greg, kelsey and grammy at Joe Allen and we ate dinner and went to see Wicked! It was phenomenal as usual, but Fiyero was absolutely horrible. He was very attractive, but he missed a cue for Dancing Through Life and he just wasn't a very good singer. I felt bad for him. :( Maybe he was having an off night. He probably was. Shoshana Bean was amaaaaaaazing. And if anyone could fill Idina's shoes, it is her. And Megan Hilty, the girl who played Glinda was awesome. Everyone was asking if she was the original, meaning Kristin. That's pretty good. Okay and the most random, but amazing part of the whole show was that the Wizard was played by BEN VEREEN and Mme. Morrible was played by RUE McCLANAHAN!!!!! For those of you who don't know who they are, Ben Vereen is classic broadway and was original Pippin and you've probably seen him on tv because he's won 7 emmys. Rue McClanahan was Blanche on the Golden Girls!!! She was really funny. Also, Michelle Federer is still NessaRose, and she's awesome. So hoory. Overall it was a good time. I cried like a baby for the second act, and so did my mother. Which surprises. . .no one. Then we went home. It was a good time. I love that show so much.

Saturday: Go see Coop at 9:30, he suctions a lot of tissue out of my nose and I can breathe a lot easier, but my nose hurts a lot. We drove to Shea and tailgated with Mr, Mrs, Pat and Steve Bither, which was random but fun. They are Cubs fans, which is why they went to the game, haha. The Mets beat the Cubs and it was a good time, and needless to say I loooooooooooove David Wright. Hoooollly crap. Then we drove home and I got ready for work. Then I went to work and it was Brian's last day *tear* but it was so much fun because it was me, Aya, Leah, Dan, Amy and Brian. It was just ridiculous. And then about half an hour before we closed my nose started bleeding and that was disgusting and unexpected. I was really upset because that was the first time it happened since surgery. Gross. Then it didn't stop bleeding until I got home. And it kept bleeding over night.

Sunday: Church where I was so out of it and my head hurt and I was just frustrated. As soon as we left church my nose started to bleed again and I just felt like crap. So I layed on the chair for a while. Kelsey made me eggs and a roll which was so cute. And Grammy took care of me. And I love them. Then we all watched Friends for a very long time. I fell asleep for three episodes and then felt really uncomfortable. So I went upstairs and slept some more. My mom called Coop but he wasn't there so then she called the other ENT, who is adorable and he told me to use Affrin instead of irrigating with the salt water. And it worked. So hooray for him. Then we got frosty freez and watched Meet the Fockers. Good times. I love that movie. Then I fell asleep.

Now I'm talking to you. And I just read on the Comcast homepage that Peter Jennings passed away. I guess it's better that he's not in any pain, but it's really sad.

I'm going to go now, so I will talk to you all later.
May you all have a wonderful day.
And may you always be blessed with inner peace and an open and unjudging heart.
SOAK IT UP.

Sometimes you can't make it on your own
